i just bought another boat , this one has two axles on the trailer and when i turn left or right it pops like there is something in a bind . any ideas what this could be ?
it dose fine as long as i am going straight . kinda sounds like it is at the tounge, but its hard to tell from the cab of the truck . trailer dose have brakes on it . any ideas ? thanks in advance
When you turn a dual axle trailer, it puts one set of the axles in a bind and it will make some popping noise. If it is making allot of noise, then your spring and equalizer rocker plastic bushing need replacing. Not hard to do, and cheap if you have a floor jack, jack stands and some level place to work. Any of the trailer sells place have the bushing and any other parts you might need. I had to replace my equalizer rocker and spring hangers and bolts and all the bushings in my old trailer.

If you jack the trailer up and pull a tire, you will be able to see any slop in your trailer springs eyes or equalizer. That is where the plastic bushings are.
