Trailer needs work and I need advice

According to my dealer all the trailer leaf spring bushings, shackles and equalizer brackets are worn and have excessive play. Where exactly are these parts and are they difficult to replace? I have replaced leaf springs so I have some small idea but would like better direction before I tackle this and also where can I get the parts I need. It is 97 Ranger trailer dual axle.

On each side of your trailer has two leaf springs, connecting them is the equalizer pivot arm, the springs are connected to the trailer with a mounting bracket in the front and a mounting bracket & shackle in the rear. These parts can be replaced using normal hand tools. Floor jack, jack stands, lug wrench. 1/2 in. ratchet, sockets. box end wrenches. hammer, screw drives etc.) You can get the parts from Waymier Dist. or Champion Trailer Parts. Unless your trailer is handling badly, has lots of noise in the suspension, be skeptical, take the trailer to a RV dealer and see if they will inspect/evaluate for a small nominal fee.
    I hope this has helped.

Thanks, I am skeptical and it is not handling badly at all.

Doc, call down to Eastern Marine in Newark DE. They are a board sponsor. They have trailer parts. Check them out online also.

Thanks, Larry, I have been down to their store, it's awesome. My problem is that I do not know what size of those things I need and when I looked online there were lost of different ones to choose from.

I'm in the same boat except mine is a 2000. Probably isnt much difference. In my case I know I need those things. my tires are wearing funny and I can see the axles aren't lined up.
