    aluminum trailer

Just curious if any of you guys have priced aluminum trailers and if you would know which company has the best deal on them. I have a 21' Triton and my trailer is rusting away BAD. I fish the St. Johns river and it is very brakish so the salt kills the steel trailers in no time.

I just bought a new tandem axle one for my 20 foot Javelin. got an awesome deal over in near Pace fl. the place is Starline Trailers, I will have to look up the number of you can just type in starline trailers, pace fl under google and it will come up. you will need to talk to Don. PM me and I'll give you my number and give you all the info. I looked for about 4 months and this was the best deal out there, also there is a place call capital trailer near tallahasse, but this place is better.

    Re: aluminum trailer (Jaxbasstr21)

i am getting ready to purchase an aluminum one for my nitro. i am going to get mine from Ameratrail. they are located in st. cloud, fl. so far they have been fantastic to deal with, very helpful. i have been dealing with a gentleman by the name of rick martin...here is his email rmartin@ameratrail.com just tell him that the guy with the green nitro who wants the orange trailer recommended him. if i remember correctly the single axle aluminum trailer, with swing tongue, aluminum wheels and disc brakes was right around $3500. they offer powder coating on their trailers...its expensive, about an extra $1000 but i am going to do it i think. i believe i will have it painted orange (if they can get the color code from nitro) with stainless fenders. i hope this helps

I think mine ran me out the door 3400 for a tandeem axle with disc brakes led lights, polished aluminium wheels, stainless fenders, also had them run me two sets of wires to the back of the trailer for backup lights. had to work out a trade for the disc brakes since the winch he had would not work, but they just took the one off of my old trailer.

    Re: aluminum trailer (javelinr20)

Here in Maryland, fishing brackish water, a boxed frame steel trailer doesn't last long. A "C" channel frame won't rust nearly as fast. My galvanized trailer hardly rusts at all. An aluminum trailer looks better and is lighter. If I had a rich uncle, that's what I'd ask for, an aluminum trailer.
If I won a new boxed steel trailer in the lottery, I'd sell it.
