Ranger trailer brake lights

Okay, truck brake lights okay but trailer brake lights won't. Pretty sure it's somewhere in the plug but don't know how to check it. Please help this novice.

You can get a tester at a local auto part store, a test light can also help.


Usually it comes back to a faulty ground wire or no ground from truck to trailer...
