The oil that goes in them is 50 WT motor oil. Valvoline Racing Oil makes it. But as Lyn said, need to know what year your trailers is, Ranger changed suppliers in recent years.

BTW I use a small syringe (with no needle) to put oil back in mine. MUCH less mess that way....
A nipple cap from a gear oil bottle placed onto your oil bottle will work well too, to avoid the mess.
Patience is the key word. I rock the hub back and forth too, to get all the air bubbles out.
