I want to install new bearings and bearing buddies on my trailer, how hard is it

I want to install new bearings and bearing buddies on my trailer, how hard is it? I know its not the most complicated thing, I just dont have the finances to take it to a bearing shop. My trailer is a 95 stratos trailer for a 268. they arent getting hot or anything but I just bought it and it looks like one of the back seals are leaking grease. thanks any help would be appreciated. J.

Check the bearings and replace the seals. The are directions on the UFP site. It's not that hard, but I won't do it one handed ever again.

The rear seal is very easy to change. Pull the hub, change the seal, put the hub back on, refill with grease.

If the bearings are not getting hot and there is no side to side play or obvious damage I wouldn't worry about changing them out. Changing the bearings and races is not hard, just make sure you are sure of what you are doing the first time.

Adding or replacing bearing buddies should take about 60 seconds per wheel. If you are going to replace the rear seal just put the new buddy on after you reassemble the hub on the axle.

Best advise I can give you is to get a whole bunch of clean rags before you start. It makes the whole job easier because you are working with alot of grease.

Replacing a bearing buddy 1 out of 10
    Replacing a seal 2 out of 10
Replacing bearings and races 4 out of 10
