Towing with an 06 Ford Explorer Eddie B??

IM looking at getting an 06 EB with 27K miles, V8 all wheel drive, class 3/4 hitch already on there as was wondering it that will do the job towing my Nitro 896DC...19' boat...I currently have a 99 explorer V6 and it does alright till I hit hills and such then it begins to bog down. The 06 is a pretty good deal and is in great shape with a warranty still left on the truck.

You'll be fine. I towed with one for 2 years before I got a truck.

Agreed - I use to tow with an 02 Eddie Bauer V8 before I got my truck. The explorer had 120K+ miles on it and it was still strong. The explorer pulled my TR-21 in the summer and a 2 place enclosed snowmobile trailer in the winter just fine. I could definitely feel the boat behind the explorer and really didn't understand what it meant when someone with a diesel truck would say "You don't even know anything is behind you" until I got my diesel for towing.

cool were going to take a look at it again today and see if they will move on the price. It should be a big step up to my 98 XLT V6.

According to the manufacturer it's either 3200, or 5200 depending which axle ratio you have and it must have the factory tow package.
