I was towing a Triton TR186 with a 2005 trailblazer, 2wd, inline 6 with a 3.73 rearend. I never had any problems. I would strongly encourage surge brakes on the trailer when some !@#$%^&*() pulls out in front you, but that applies not matter what your driving.

I pulled a boat back from Texas with a trailblazer. Had the inline6 motor in it. Couldnt tell the boat was back there. And this was with an 02.

My '02 pulls my Tracker w/o a problem (yeah it's lighter than a glass boat but it's still 2,000 lbs) and the only reason I notice it's there is because the gas mileage drops to about 14 MPG from my 21 MPG (HWY)

I got rid of my F-150 and bought a 06 Trailblazer with the I6 and a locking rear end. Pulls the boat fine and never had any trouble with a steep ramp. I just wanted decent gas milage for running around town.

I tried pulling my Skeeter 21 i with the Trailblazer V 6.It would pull it but it had to work on hills and the gas milage was terrible. Now oull with a Dodge 5.7 Hemi

Plenty of power for my little fish and ski, except for the milage can't even tell it's back there. Never a problem on a ramp, just crawls right out with little effort never spin tires

I pull my rig with a 2006 TB with the I6 and 3.73 rear. It has 4WD but I haven't had to use it on a ramp. Can't feel the boat back there (trailer has brakes), but it is not real frisky going over mountains or really big hills.

BTW - has anyone put a transmission cooler on your TB?

I haven't but then again the longest I trailer the boat is 20 miles and it's a lighter (1800 lbs) tin boat. Might look into ot if I start doing more longer trailering.

Thanks to all the feedback from you guy's. I bought an 07 Trailblazer LT 4X4 and hooked up the boat to drag it up some of the worst hills we have around here and was I ever impressed . Thanks to all your input. I feel you guy's helped me make the right choice.
    Thanks again,

    Gary
