    Brake Line Replacement Help

I have a 1997 tandem trailer for a 20' bass boat. The brakes have been non-functional for around 5 years according to the previous owner. The master cylinder was bone dry and severely rusted. I have a new UFP A-60 actuator with selenoid and am going to put in new disc brakes to replace the drums. The existing metal brake line is hidden inside the trailer frame. I am wondering what is the best option for installing the new lines. Should I blow out the old line and re-use it? It seems difficult to put new steel lines inside the frame. Is there any problem using the flexible brake line kits which seems easier to fish through the trailer frame? I was a little unsure about how those flexible lines hold up over time and whether they perform OK. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just used the flexible line kit from champion trailers (trailer store), I had the same issue you did and didnt want to go through the hassle. The installatiion tookk about an hour. nI tore out all t he steel line and used zip ties to secure the new line ti the oem brackets. The rubber line is DOT approved and is the same line that is used on motor vehicle applications

The flex line kits are the way to go. Much easier to run plus they are all DOT approved so quality should not be an issue. We also offer stainless steel line kits for boat trailers. If you do go with steel lines make sure to have a piece of flex line going to the caliper on the disc brakes you install.

Thanks for the help. I am going to go ahead with the flex lines and decided to just replace the all the suspension parts on the trailer as well
