    NEED HELP!!!!!!!

    CAN ANY ONE TELL ME IF THE BOLTS THAT ATTACH THE THE BUNKS TO THE TRAILER ARE COUNTER SUNK FROM THE TOP BEFORE NEW CARPET IS SECURED, AND GLUED, OR ARE THEY BIG WOOD SCREWS... I HAVE A NITRO TRAIL TRAILER
    AND WAS GONNA TACKLE THIS PROJEC THIS WKEND... AND SHOULD I PRE-MAKE THE BUNKS, LET THE GLUE DRY FOR ACOUPLE OF DAYS, OR IS THERE SOME KIND OF ADHESIVE THAT WILL DRY AND I CAN ACCOMPLISH ALL OF THIS AT THE LAKE???????? DON'T HAVE LUXURY OF LEAVING THE BOAT ANYWHERE!!!!

    my trailstar trailer has countersunk stainless bolts. if i were going to change my bunks, i would have everything ready to go, and do the flip flop at the lake. a couple days to let the glue dry would be fair. and make sure you use stainless staples.

    It may be easier to do it at the lake but probably not as effective. Most bunks attach with brackets that can swivel on the bolster for proper angle to the hull. If the boats off the trailer you may not get the angle or proper height just right. I replaced all 4 bunks on my old boat with the boat still on the trailer. Use a floor jack and a 2x4 to jack up one side of the hull just high enough to slide the old one out. Repeat on other side. In my case the boards rotted out long before the bolts did. Stainless bolts not really needed. Counter sink heads, attach carpet with carpet glue and staple underside. Worked out perfect for me.
