    Lifetime trailer

I have a 1995 Viper/Cobra 188D that has a Lifetime trailer. I need the brake wheel cylinders. Does anybody know where I can find them. I have looked on the web, can't find anything about them. Would a cylinder from another company work and what would I haft to do to get the right part. Thanks Rick

I think Lifetime went out of business awhile back. There should be some mfg markings on the backing plate, or you may have to replace the complete backing plates.....

Take your old one to a marine dealer. They are all pretty much the same. I have a
'97 Lifetime and I found some a couple of years ago for like 12 bucks each. The guy I bought them from used to build the Artcraft boats and he had some on the shelf.
    Good Luck

    Re: Lifetime trailer (Hawkman)

Hey Lyn, I took off the backing plate and couldn't find a mfg number or anything.
If I haft to buy a new backing plate will it come with the wheel cylinder. Ilooked at some on the net and it looks like a atwood. I was told on the Cobra baord that a wheel cylinder on a 1997 Mustang would work, they have two push pins and would need to get the push pins for both sides of the brake. Do you think that would work?
Thanks Hawkman for that info. If I can't come up with anything on this end do you think I could get them from the guy you got ours from? Thanks guys I really appreciate Rick

Yeah if he's still alive :) just kidding, he is still around and kicking. Talked with him a couple of weeks ago about lifting the boat off trailer and storing the boat if Ipainted the trailer. Just let me know, I'd be glad to help. Send me e-mail if you don't hear a reply from me, it may be a few days in between visits sometimes.

The backing plates do come with the wheel cylinder, and they bolt to the 4 hole flange on your axles...they should be standard 10x2 inch..
