2003 johnson 150 need advice!?

Alright guys i need some advice i have a 2003 johnson that blew up well before it blew up it was acting up after it was warmed up. When i would first untrailer it would idle fine and run fine if i stopped to fish then go to run it would spit and sputter and stall out i could feather the throttle for a bit and then get it to run. Well i just had it rebuilt completly including carbs all seals everything well i the mechanic told me to run diffrent rpms and about 20gal through it to break it in about half way through i stopped to fish and when i went to run again it started to stall once again not as bad now because i backed out of it and then got into it alittle more and it jumped up and ran it did it both times i stopped for any length of time over probally 10mins. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH WHAT IT IS?

Try this first: http://www.bbcboards.net/zerothread?id=357667 if that doesn't help then adjust your idle speed jets out 1 full turn. You could also squeeze the primer bulb before you take off again from fishing OR just hit the choke on take off.

Ok awesome thank you i will check that out. I did notice when i hit the choke it wasnt as bad. Wat causes that?

Ethanol fuel and also the throttle linkage not adjusted properly when a hot foot is installed. The throttle cable should be adjusted so that the throttle arm touches the roller on the throttle plate.
