    Any reloader's hate trimming brass

This is the unit for you I bought this unit after trimming 2K .223 cases over the course of a week

I did some research and came across the Giraud Tool case trimmer and bought one, this thing is incredible. I've had it for a couple years, trimmed thousands of cases with it and beyond the initial fine tuning for length I haven't touched anything on it. You can trim hundreds of cases per hour

Here's a little video I found when checking them out prior to my purchase

Sweet...I trimmed a bunch of brass the other day. The only good thing it did for me beside trim my brass was work out my arm for fishing. Wish I had that kind of trimmer though.
okay, okay... last cast, after this one.

Looks pretty fast. I assume they are ready to load? No deburring needed?
I'm pretty fast with my old Lyman crank model.

Yes, it uses a carbide insert that deburrs the inside and outside of the case while it trims the length.

After it's trimmed your brass will look like this

Are the overall lengths consistent afterwards? Trimming from a point measured at the shoulder and not the base seems like it would be varied results in case length.

If you resize your brass consistent then the lengths don't change. I've never seen variation beyond +/- .002 with mine. If you weren't lubing necks and had a lot of stretch during extraction I could see that being a problem with this style trimmer.

I've used the manual lathe RCBS trimmer and the RCBS Power Pro trimmer and although they work when you get doing lots of 1K+ trimming it makes trimming a real chore, with this unit 1K pieces of brass can be trimmed in to time. It's so quick I just trim my brass everytime I load it rather than measuring and only trimming those I have to trim because they are over the max. Trimming is the fastest operation now
