Coon Proofing an Automatic Feeder???

Anyone have any ideas on how to coon proof a 3 legged barrel feeder? My problem is the keep pulling off the solar battery charger wire.

What does your set-up look like now? I'd think you could elevate and run the wire from the charger across to the top of the feeder.

I have the charger mounted as high as possible on one of the legs. They are climbing up the legs and reaching over to the spinner area.

PVC pipe slipped over the feeder legs with a little grease on them, also put your solar wires in a flexible metal conduit and screw it down tight with conduit straps. The pvc needs to be oversized so it will spin when they try to climb it, also coons hate to get grease on their paws.

So will an 0-6 but the little turds are coming thru way before daylight and pillaging. Did see them opening day of gun season and it was comical watching them. But I'm thru laughing now.

american feeders make a shock system to connect to the feeder other wise some sort of shields on the legs made out of thin tin/sheet metal spiraled around the legs maybe
