rem 760 300 savage w/nikon 4x-i love this firearm
wthby MV 300 wthby w/nikon monarch
savage 99f fw 250-3000 open sights
browning bbr 300 win w/b&l balvar
and my ol' t/c black diamond
alot more at my disposal, and considering p/u a 6.5, a 35 whelen and a 264 in the near future
Nothing too fancy for me. Model 700 Mtn. rifle 7mm-08 with Vari-X II and an old Model 94. I took more deer in fewer years with the 30-30 but maybe I was just more gung-ho back then.

Some people are so judgemental. You can tell just by looking at 'em.--Some random meme
These aren't mine but they're the exact same setups as a couple of the deer setups I've got
I love the scout mount scope setup.

I dont have a deer gun yet, so i use my Uncles Marlin 30-30 and it has a reputation of one hit kills and i held it up last year when i shot my first deer dropped it in its tracks.
Shotgun only zone where I hunt-no rifles.
Top: H & R "980 ULTRA" rifled slug gun w/ 4x Leoupold.
Bottom: H & R .50 Cal. in-line Muzzle loader w/ tru-glow sights, camo/stainless.
IMO the best value and most underated deer guns available.

I have one in the freezer that I am debating what to do with.
Thanks, John! I rarely get a rifle out of the safe any more.

I dont have a pictures of them yet but am thinking of taking out my 1891 Argentenian Mauser in 7.65X53 or the second choice would be the 1903A3 in 30-06. Anything at 100 yards or closer will be put in the freezer. Both have iron sights but they are accurate shooters. I have gone to Green Dot Powder with 173 grain handcast gas checked bullets that fly at about 1500 FPS and group at about 2" at 100 yards. I figure that should be enough to put meat in the freezer.
Can't use rifles here and if I legally could I'm not sure I would.
Thompson Encore .300 win mag.........6 x 25 x 56 Countersniper scope (do not buy one of these scopes, they suck)....soon to be a Leupold on this gun.

Until now, all my deer hunting has been done in "shotgun only" counties, and with buckshot (3" No. 1). This is my "deer gun." A Sears/Mossberg 12 ga., 3" mag. 28" Mod choke barrel. It will put them down. I've never had a "one shot" kill, but I've never shot but one more than twice.
Now that I live in "rifle country" I don't seriously hunt deer, but plan to at least semi-seriously this fall. Since I've never killed a deer with a rifle, I thought I'd give it a try this year so I got this one. A Marlin336W in 30/30. I've added a Simmons 3x9x40 scope to it. More scope than it needs, but I had it so I didn't see any sense in buying another one.
I also picked up a CVA "Wolf" 50 Cal muzzle loader with a Bushnell 3x9x32 scope on it a few nights ago. I had a 22 rifle I didn't care for, so I swapped it for the M/L. I figured it would give me a good excuse to sit on the side of the hill and watch the creek bottom in a couple of weeks. I haven't fire it yet, and don't have a picture of it, but everybody probably knows what a break action M/L looks like. I plan to sight it in tomorrow and see how it does. Everything I've read on the net indicates they're decent rifles for the money.
This is my baby! T/C Pro hunter 22-250, with Nikon Pro staff camo 3x9x40, also have the same setup in .308 Love this gun! Had the same gun just not in Pro hunter two years ago with all stainless barrels, in .243, 7-08, .50 cal. black powder, and 22-250. Until some crack head kicked in basement door and got all of my 14 guns.Would like to use this one on him.....
