97 150hp fict intruder gear oil?

does anyone know the lower unit oil weight specifications for this motor? and also the motor will sporadically give a water in fuel code when I know for sure there is no water in the fuel. There is no rime or reason to when this happens. Im guessing its the sensor on the bottom of the fuel filter located on the motor? However we did disconnect it and it would still give the code? The motor runs great and other than the water in fuel code I have not had any of the horror stories these motors are known for (cross my fingers) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can unplug the sensor if you are sure there is no water problem and that there is not short in the sensor wire to the ECU.

IF it's unplugged and still gives a CHECK ENGINE code, then the wire is shorted or there is a glitch inside the ECU.

I had the exact issue on my 98 ficht 150. replaced fuel filter, fuel water/separator, drained the tank and flushed all lines. I had to send ECU to DFI to be rebuilt for about $600. They were quick on the repairs and shipping.
