    I love my 96 Johnson 200 venom

She's old tech but I love her anyway. Love that deep throated roar and all the torque!

That is a Great motor but, with gas headed to $3.00 a gallon an E-Tec would help with the fuel bill.

    Gary
That is one thing I miss about my 96 Vindicator. The Ficht I have now runs flawlessly, but I miss the sound. But I do have to admit the Ficht is a lot better on oil and uses less gas.

Re: I love my 96 Johnson 200 venom (Sprint 207)

I have the 1994 - 225 carbs; I need to get the 72d jets. Haven't put them on this year; probably next yr. The 200 runs good right now. It is cold blooded in the morning. I think the 200 uses less gas than those 225 carbs will but the 225 carbs have more and better adjustments and jets.

Well, I like my 97 200 Venom too. Would be nice to get that 25 extra horspower. I don't do a lot of wot running so the gas usage wouldn't be too noticable. They do have a sound of their own though don't they?

Gary, I have a 94 200 hp Venom. There's an issue with the jets in my motor. Not enough rpm(5250 rpm) with the 65 jets (too rich). I get 5800 rpm with the 62 jets but the tech says it runs too lean. Do you happen to know what jets are in your 200 carbs?

Re: I love my 96 Johnson 200 venom (Bassmeister)

My 200 has 65s in the carbs; it is cold blooded first thing and if cooled down. I can run 6000 rpms but my boat is light. Question - can I put 76s in my 225 carbs and get the HO power or are the HO carbs bigger than the 225 regular carbs?

Looks like someone switched um before I bought um. Do all 225 carbs come with 72ds generally say 94-98s?
