just refinanced using Fairway Mortgage Co out of leesville..., First time I used a VA certificate. A big pain in the A$$. It will take you about a month to wade through the paperwork and silly requirements....
I would avoid it if possible. I have had two conventional mortgages that went very smoothly....
We used VAMortgageCenter.com. Awesome! They even had a guy come to our house to close it. The closing took about 30 minutes. I highly recommend them and I'm a pretty picky person. I was quoted 4.59 and rates dipped just a tad. I got a call from them and said they were able to lower my rate to 4.17. Really a seemless refinance.
