    SI and pvc

First off I'm a newbie to SI and to the BBC board. I just bought my997 from stillbear in the for sale forum. Thanks for the great deal Gary! My question is last summer I built some large pvc structures. They are in 20ft of water but I can't see them on SI. Reg. sonar is no problem. I'm wondering if I'm not using the right freq. Or if there is something else I should be doing. Also I'm wondering how to post a pic here on the board. Sorry I told you I'm new at this. Thanks in advance. Joey

Re: SI and pvc (mudbug 03)

PVC is a little tricky. The problem is they usually aren't that thick. You'll be better off looking for the shadows than the actual PVC itself emit.

This is a horrible pic to illustrate as it was taken with my old 987 years ago I can do much better than this.

The key here would be to bring your SI beams in some say 50ft.

Like said, look for the shadow. I threw some out, then turned around to graph them and didnt see them the first time... lol
You just see the shadow on smaller structures like these were.
