Look what I saw on my 798ci SI

I've had my 798ci SI for about a year now and am still trying to learn how to interpret what I see and put it to use. Heres a quote from DoubleGobble that expresses my problem also:

<table width="90%" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 align=center><tr><td>Quote, originally posted by DoubleGobble00 &raquo;</td></tr><tr><td class="quote">One of my hardest things to do is to rely on what I am seeing with SI and trust it.

    DoubleG</td></tr></table>

Well, after reading that the other day, I decided I'm going to trust it more: today it paid off. Went crappie fishing today, started scanning along a river channel ledge and spotted some baitfish and then some larger fish. I said to my buddy "there they are". I wheeled the boat around, hoped up on the front deck and the first cast I caught a crappie almost 2lbs. A few cast later, I caught my personal best - a 3lb-2oz mega slab:

We ended up catching 8 big old slabs off that spot including a 2-10 that my buddy caught.

Sorry I didn't get a snapshot of the screen when I saw them but it was very similar to the pics that DoubleGobble posted, just not as many fish.

Once you start believing....it's makes it really easy! Sonar don't lie but you have to be able to understand what you see and then the rewards start happening!

    Thanks for sharing.

No, I'm afraid not. Wish I had thought to do it but I was in too big a hurry to try to catch'em.

WOW that's a nice one! I'm hoping Guntersville will produce my first 3 next year sometime. I've had several over 2.5 and countless fish in the 2 range out of there, but I still haven't tricked one of those 3s into biting yet.
