    New 1197 Pics

I took Doug's advice and changed a few settings on my 1197. It made a world of difference in the clarity of them. He is definitely the HB EXPERT! Thanks man!

Below are some that I took this past weekend. Can someone give me some ideas as to what the zoomed in area is on one of them? I can't seem to figure it out. I'm guessing it's a tree, but I was wondering why there are the dark areas around it.

I was on Caddo Monday with my dad crappie fishing. You could see the crappie on the trees in the river so you knew which ones to fish and which ones to pass on. That was probably the coolest thing I've done with this graph so far. To catch fish that you see is pretty cool.

    Bridge...

    Structure???

    Re: (Louie)

My 1st pictures were pretty grainy. Now I'm starting to figure out what changes to make under certain conditions. I know this graph definitely came with a "Cool" factor! I've had a blast idling around looking at stuff.

This looks like a concrete spillway on a pond dam.

The image below looks like a pair of ditches with maybe a standing tree on the right edge that is creating a sonar shadow.

This is actually a concrete bulkhead. We have quite a few of these on my homelake as well.

Scroll Speed went from 7 down to 3
SI Enhance went from Low to Off

Scroll speed is what really made a huge difference.

    Other Settings...
    Sensitivity 11
    Contrast 7-9

This one looks like a bamboo crappie condo some one placed for crappie. I say this as there is not really any solid limb structure like a normal tree, just the thin wispyness like a bamboo habitat.

This is the image I'm talking about and it's followed by the type of structure I'm talking about.

Yes it does...looked like a flooded willow to me but the Bamboo Attractors look exactly. We don't have Bamboo like that in Missouri but cool thing is you found it and if I was crappie fishing would be somewhere I'd want to scan to see if they were home before I fished.

The one thats zoomed in. I have fished that slough alot where that pic was taking and never noticed anything like that on my 520c... i know there's a sunken rail road close by... i wonder if it could be something from it....

See Doug, I don't have a HB yet and I can do a decent job of decyphering those images

Looks like there are some fish in there to me also. Small cluster of bait around the willows too.

Gotta get me one of these things - Soon......

PS - did you get any traction on the "waterproof" HB display we talked about?

All you need now is to get you a Humminbird and you can decipher your own images! I know some retailers that can help you get one
