Staining concrete

I really want to rid my whole house of carpet. I seen several homes with stained concrete and really like it.
Is that something I can do myself or not. Also is there any special prep needed for concrete that is 16 yrs old and had carpet on it.

definitely can...........have had it done to a bunch of my rentals and that was 30-40 yr concrete........it might not have been done the "right way" but it was super cheap like 150-300 bucks and its in year 2 or 3 on some units.........which even doing it every year is cheaper than new carpet for me

I doubt looks wise you will be unhappy it just might not have the "feel" your looking for
