you will need to install one of these behind your tv first

What did they install for the individual speakers? Just a box with a speaker wire in it with a flush cover over it? If so you will need one of these at each one of the boxes

Then you just wire from the back of the receiver to each corresponding spot on the plate behind the tv. Not hard at all.

I don't have any reccomendations for a system. Pretty much you can spend as much money as you want on one. Maybe someone else who is an av junkie can chime in on that.

yeah, its just a flush box with wire in it. it looks to be about the size of the first picture you put up about twice the size of a normal light switch size.

Ok it sounds like a double box. The first pic I posted is what you will need there. Hopefully they marked the ends of the wires for each corresponding spot in the room. If not you will have fun testing which wires lead to where. They should say something like center, right front, right rear etc. Then you just wire it up accordingly.

okay, i looked in my box that has the speaker wire in it and it looks like it is wired for 4 speakers. looks like i just need one of those plates in the previous post, some speakers and find where the wire's are ran to in the ceiling. am i missing anything? thanks fellas.

Sounds like you got it figured out. Just to let you know so you aren't confused. When you get your receiver it will actually have 6 channels. The 4 speakers Left Front, Left Rear, Right Front, Right Rear is where you connect to the wires you found. The other two will be a center channel that I just sit on top of my tv, some people set it under, either is fine. The last will be a subwoofer. Just set it wherever you want. There is a whole science on how to set them up and you can google it and read about exactly where to put them for your room size, shape, layout etc. but I don't get into that much detail.
