    Have read how to post pics, but somehow can't get it to work.

    How can I get a picture from a regular "windows file" into a post?

    it has to be "hosted" on the web somewhere like shutterfly, photobucket,etc and the url has to be inserted into your post.the only thing that can be uploaded directly from your computer is your avitar.
