    Electric smoker?

Bass Pro has an electric smoker on sale for $179 with a digital controller on top. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are electric smokers easy to use? Thanks

We bought one a few years ago when they were on sale, about the same price. It was the green Wild Turkey Federation one. It worked great for a couple of years then we started having problems with the controls. We took it apart and it was made VERY cheap. Where it got hot it melted some of the wires. I fixed it and used it for another couple of months. I just made a UDS and couldn't be happier. Good luck.

If you are talking about the Masterbuilt MES smokers then yes they are good smokers. They did have a problem with the wires burning in half but they have taken care of that in the last couple years. I use mine for a winter time smokers because I can use it in my garage with the door about half open.
