What is a good tenderizer for meat that is simple to make and not too expensive?
Room temperature air...bout as cheap as it gets, and will tenderize anything...that and extend the cooking time...![]()
Anything acidic will help break the meat down. Citrus juices or wines work fairly well and double as a nice marinade.

Vinegar, oil and any spices you like.Put it in a zip lock for about 15 minutes of longer if you have time its it good to go.
