    Cover for transducer wire on trolling motor shaft

    While cleaning out the basement, I ran across one of those plastic covers for shower rods. Having just installed a different mount on my MotorGuide a thought came to me.

    Try using the shower rod cover, as protective shield over the wire and shaft. It fit and will work fine once I get a different color. The one I tried is a pale funky aqua color. My wife tells me she has seen them in several different stores and they are usually under 5 bucks. Places like Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, Walmart, etc...

    Below is a link to what I'm talking about. They are $2.50 each there but you have to buy a minimum of 6. I'm going to look around town and online for a better deal.

    Ha! I like this. Just bought a new transducer and wham-o smacked a rock which cut the new wires str8 in half. Did a splice job which i figure will last a few months at best. I'll have to check these out
