Got to talking to an old guy in Bass Pro the other day. The subject of drop-shotting came up and here's what he told me..."You know how no matter how you tie the knot the damn hook always ends up upside-down? Well, next time just pull of about a 5 or 6 foot length of line and tie the hook on anyway you please and then tie the end with the hook facing up to a swivel and trim off the other end to whatever you want and put your weight on and go".
For the life of me, I never thought of doing it that way. Like he said, "you need a swivel anyway to keep your line from twisting up".
What a concept.![]()
