    New tackle bag...spinners?

Not sure where to post this, but anyway...

The wife bought me a new tackle bag to replace my old tackle box. It has several storage areas and middle has three plastic boxes for baits, but I not see a place to hold my spinners. Where do yall keep them in these new style bags?

There is a "tip" in the most recent issue of Bassmaster magazine about this. The writer says he got page protectors intended for baseball cards that are three hole punched. There are apparently nine zipped slots per page. Also he says you can buy a zipped binder to place the pages in.

Seems to me the "pockets" would be a little small for a lot of spinnerbaits, but you might look into it.

i also hate the buzz bait box.. it really doesn't do much and they end up getting tangled anyways... i have the spinnerbait box by falcon, but i would have probably bought that plano one by looking at the pictures.. difference in price is about $7, which is not much i guess when you have $100+ in your box..

I just use tupperware containers for both spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. They are just about any size you want from small to large, will hold quite a few baits depending on the size you get, are water tight and fairly cheap. I just dump my baits on the deck of the boat, pick out the one I want and toss the rest back in and put the lid on, quick and easy.

I just went to the dollar store last night and did the same thing. I don't bring everything to every Lake all the time. I just bring the lures I want to try or the ones I want to use. Those I take in the Plano Spinner bait box while the rest I keep in the dollar store storage containers since their not a uniform size that would keep neatly on the boat. I arranged all my packages of tubes by color into different containers. Today I will get a few more and arrange all my packs of soft plastics this way then label them for ease of finding the ones I want to bring.

Hey Stew, I noticed you had 2 of the rainbow colored Strike king spinnerbaits in your box picture. I remember that pattern from years ago and liked them. Where did you find them??

    Try a CD binder

A CD "binder" works great. Like the kind you would carry CD's in for your car. The binder has the CD pockets that you can easily slip a spinnerbait in. Most come with a cavass shell and a plastic zipper so it holds up well on the lake. I have one that holds 30 spinnerbaits. Works great.

Yes, this is perfect! It's very compact, cheap, holds all sizes of spinnerbaits and it's what I use now. I've never needed more than 30 spinnerbaits at a time. Actually that's way more than I need on a given trip.

I tried all the different box's and bags, You put Cook's Go To in your boat and you will throw all the others in the lake. I have Cook's in my boat and they work great.
