    adding water to batteries

    i use a dish liquid bottle when wife has used all of it wash the soap suds out real good put water in and squeze bottle til the water level is right : in the battery and the water will stop coming out

    something else to add to that is if your batteries are hard to with the bottle you buy some clear tubing a the hardware store that will fit the cap on the bottle and that way you dont have to take the battery out

    I use a Turkey Baster. Squeeze bulb, drop in gal jug of Distilled water, let fill up. Go over to battery, put tip of baster in hole and squeeze again.

    5 ft clear tubing and a hemostat.
    Put end of tube in gal of water, siphon, hemostat to stop.
    One cell to the next with a gallon capacity!

    If over filled
    They can "boil" over and make a BIG mess. Battery acid water is VERY corrosive.

    Very corrosive. Make sure you have plastic battery trays underneath. When I talke my boat out from winterization, I remove the batteries, top off, charge, and then put back in. I have an aluminum boat and once that acid gets on your boat, you have a real problem. If you do spill, mix baking soda with water and pour over the acid to neutralize.
