    "Cool" Hat Tip

Ok, this one is very simple and I am wondering why I didn't think of it a LONG time ago.

How many of us take our caps off when we make a fast run to a spot on the lake. I know that I do and so do the guys I fish with. The reason I take it off is because I have lost more than one because it flew off....yes even in a "Lead Sled"! Well what do you do with it when you take it off? Hold it in your hand, put it in your glove box or worse yet... sit on it??? (Sitting on them can ruin that perfect shaped bill!) I now put mine in my cooler! My cooler is right by my seat so it makes it pretty easy, but wherever you cooler is you can put it in there. You don't lose your hat or ruin the shape and guess what....when you get to your spot to fish and it is about 95 degrees in the shade....you grab your hat and it feels very cool and comfortable! Try it you might like it!

By the way....this is a summer time tip only and not recommended for winter time fishing!!

I just slip the open part in the back around the gear shifter. Never lost one there and it is out of the way................

I hang mine on the shifter too. I even trailered 200 miles and it was still there. The cooler is a good idea though. I live in S. GA and it's a little warm here right now.

I put my maps between the windshield and the console... seems to hold'em just fine.

I stick mine right inbetween the windshield and the dash.

Jerry - I'm hair challenged and have had no luck with the hat sticking. Do you not wash your head much to get it to work?

Don't like slipping it between the windshield and the dash because that can lead to scratches on the windshield. I clip mine on my life jacket using the buckles and strap on the life jacket. Works great when I take it off it is right there.

    Re: "Cool" Hat Tip (Jumper)

I scratched it already, so it is okay to be inbetween the dash and the windshield.
