    CHEAP ROD WRAPS...

Posted this one before but wanted to repaet it. If you like using rod wraps...I do...don't get the one from BPS that cost $3+ each...go to Wal-Mart and in the tennis section of sporting goods there are tennis racket grips...three to a pack for less than ONE bps rod wrap. THEY ARE THE SAME THING and work GREAT!!! All of my rods are the same manufacturer and model, so instead of having to look at the rod to see the action when rigging...I color coordinate my rod wraps to the action of the rod. ie...orange is for med action, black is for med hvy, yello is for crankbait rods...etc. Steve

Yes. I notice it most on the palm of my hand where it contacts the rod when reeling. In the area of the botom of your palm at the wrist. Steve

    Re: CHEAP ROD WRAPS... (Basshuntr)

I guess they could depending on how you wrapped it and hold your rod. I ONLY wrap from the back of the reel toward the end of the rod handle and never in front of the reel. I also "palm" my reels so I don't lose anything. If you held your rod by the handle only...you would probably lose some sensitivity. Steve

The wraps I am talking about come with a strip of tape for each wrap or the glue would also work good. Steve
