I don't want to hijack the other post, so here is how to get rid of fleas with no investment of time or money.
Things you need are
1) 2 cookie sheets any size, larger is better, as long as they have shallow sides (larger area or multiple rooms, just use more of each)
2) 2 night lights
Directions:
Take the cookie sheets and place under outlets at an exterior wall on either side of a room. Fill them 1/2 full with water. Put night lights above cookie sheets in outlets, turn on night light, turn out interior lights for the evening. In a few days, fleas are gone
Trick is they jump for the light, drown in the water, cookie sheets are large enough to cover an area that gets light up by the night lights so all that jump, go into the drink.
