We have all been out sight fishing for bedding bass.
Say you throw out past the bed with a crankbait only to get snagged up on a root and it is your only chrome rattletrap left and they are hammering it today, do you go in and get it and scare off 4 large bass ?..The answer is no!!!
Take a "bobber" and tie it to your snagged line then cut the line.Pull back on the "bobber" and let it go....it keeps your line connected so you can get the bait back and keeps your boat out of the area so you can catch the bass first.
