Here is a simple fix that I use to align my engine before putting on the transom saver for the trip to and from the lake. I used to hate to look in my rear view mirror and look at my engine turned to one side or the other instead of being straight on the transom. I simply attached a plastic wire tie to the center of the steering adapter on the engine and marked the center of the boat transom with some 1/4 inch high contrast pinstriping tape. I then put a piece of the tape on the end of the attached wire tie. Now when getting ready to go to or come home from the lake a quick look at the front of the engine and a simple adjustment of the steering wheel and all is straight and ready for the motor toter. It works for me and I do not haul my rig down the road anymore with the engine turned to one side or the other. Good Luck, Roger
