I always carry a extra key ring with truck and boat keys attached. Before my partner dumps me in at the boat launch, I replace my keys with the extra set. I ask him to keep the extra set for the day just in case of key loss or emergency. I do the same thing with a roommate during overnight away trips just in case I somehow lose my keys.

arclight is right OR have spare in the boat taped under dash or some other creative place in your bass rig... a spare in your wallet is an oldie but goodie too..
