I think my bank is nuts

Hey guys - i am looking at a buying a new boat.
Bank wants me to put 20% down and finance it for 60 months..

Come on really $8000.00 dollars down plus insurance, plus personal property taxes, plus tags and registration, then $600.00 a month payment. . .

    Does this sound like right ? ? ? ?

How about giving us a shot. With the lenders we use, downpayment is not carved in stone. Loan amount VS. book value is way more important. There are several things that set part time boat loan people apart from a company like ours. We only do boat loans. We are here to help. Let us know when you are ready. Thanks, Ken

Sounds right? Not with the lenders we use. We are here to help and boat loans are the only thing we do. We use several lenders, both national and regional and should be able to help.
    Thanks,
    Ken

    Re: (Cborden)

Reclending did a bang up up job on the loan for my new to me Ranger! I highly recommend giving them a look. I live in the metro Atlanta area and they beat just about everyone I spoke to. I think he is onto something when he speaks of part time boat lenders versus full timers

We are in MI man, our heals are cool most of the time (jk). SOME CU's can be ok. Most have really short terms or don't like boats over 4-5 years old. We have a couple we can with up here for more local stuff but they are rarely in our top couple choices. The other thing is they are normally limited in the area they cover. We find very few that will lend out of state. Thanks for the comments. There are really only a couple national type lenders. Presenting the deal the right way makes a big difference. Let us know how we can help. Thanks, Ken..
