98 115 Ficht No Oil Lights comes on often

I'm looking for help on what diagnostics I can perform.
Symptoms
Motor runs very well, performance is good.
When running at low speed or idle, the no oil light and alarm come on randomly.
This does not happen all the time, it seems usually when in a crowd of other boats or manoevering to the trailer in the wind .
I run XD100 at all times. Oil tank is full, and oil bulb is solid.

I thought for a while I could reduce it happening by leaving the motor tilted up a little as this seemed to help.

I have no consistent cause for this. I had the sensor replaced last winter.
Is there a way to fit a pressure sensor in place to measure the oil pressure.
Is this a known fault.

make sure the sensor is OK (or replace it) and make sure the connection on the sensor is clean and tight, I have seen quite a few now that get all crappy corrosion on the connector and cause intermittant no oil symtoms.

You can check the oil pressure at the sensor port to see if the pump is operating correctly and if the oil pressure regulator is working right. Refer to the service manual for specs and procedures.

Sorry for the delay in updating...........
Working with a dealer, confirmed oil pressure.
Changed wiring loom in boat and tacho as dealer suspected that this was an intermittant wiring error.
Fault still occured.
Discussed changing oil pump, but not logical as oil pressure is OK.
Still believe this is a false alarm.
Suspect computer or wiring loom in motor.
Disconnecting input to computer to see if computer alone is producing a false alarm.
Also discussed bypassing wire from sensor to computer to see if there is an intermittant short there.

Could this be caused by using XD100? Illogical but running out of things to check.
Could there be dirt in the oil line causing intermittant blockage at low revs (idle) only, illogical as oil pressure reads OK.

Any other input?

so, has the sensor been replaced? and is the connector on it nice and clean and tight? you need to make sure of all the little possibilities before major (read expensive) surgery takes place

What is the exact oil pressure reading when the alarm comes on?

What is the idle oil pressure and the fuell throttle pressure ?

OK is not an answer, numbers are.

Sorry I don't have the tools to make the measurements myself.
My dealer said they were OK.
I'll call today and see if I can get real numbers.

Ask for the error code numbers, or a copy of the engine report, also.
