Water Pressure Question on New Lower End!

Recently had complete new BRP lower end installed because some rocks jumped up and bit my other one! Anyway my question is, is there some kind of eletronic connection between the water pump and the water pressure guage? With the new lower end when I start it, it pisses water fine but, no water pressure. Then after maybe a minute the guage will start registering. Will do this every time. No overheating! Great water pressure at speed! Runs fine! Never noticed this on the old lower end.

The new lower end has different water pick-up. Instead of holes showing there is like a little black scoop over the opening facing forward!

Nothing electrical all based on pressure. Water line may have gotten a pinch in it when they re-installed the belly pans. It does take a few seconds to build the pressure up and fill the block with water.

Thanx for the reply. I did not think there was any electrical hook-up.

Went out again the other day and same thing. Just idling and maybe a minute or two and then, poof, the guage will get a pressure reading. Almost like the thermostats open and let pressure thru. I don't know. Just strange. Never noticed it on the other lower end.
