I put them under mine. I love them and so does everybody that rides with me. You can see the tires while you trailer at night.

    Re: Trailer Bling (Hardhead1)

I put one inbetween the tires on the side of the frame and one under the tongue so you can see to step over it at the ramp I put lights on top of the frame to light up the boat and make it easy to load at night but it lights up all around the boat I used small led livewell lights there sealed and there threded with a nut so they are easy to install here are some pics

I have them in red under my trailer.... Waiting to be stopped by the police.

    They look good though.

I think it looks tons cooler when you can't see the l.e.d.s, just the glow. More space ship-esque IMO. Also it will more likely the po-po wont say anything if they are out of sight. When neon was first out in the early '90s, I had 40' of tubes under a car, and got harrassed for being able to see the tubes. One strip of electrical tape down the outer side and it was fixed and never had probs again.

check with your local laws. Visable lights could be illegal especialy when your talking red or blue in color, I know they are illegal here in Missouri. But you can mount them where you see only the glow and that is legal. Just a thought

The only way to turn the lights off under the trailer, is to unplug your trailer from your truck. However, you could have an on/off switch installed with those lights.

I have installed waterproof switches on many trailers in order to give this option.
