after fixing my trim motor my sending unit has been sticking it'll go up but takes a while is this someting that can be fixed or does it have to be replaced

I've had good luck freeing mine up with spray lubricant/penetrating oil.
I prefer a silicone based product, as a petroleum based product isn't compatible with plastics.....
found the problem when I took the trim unit off to change the motor I must of hit the sending uniy and bent the shaft of course it broke when I went to straighten it...
