Hey guys I was fishing last night and everything was running alright until I came in at the end of the tournament and the motor sounded like it was missing. Could it be a simple spark plug issue. It was really only doing it when I was idling. I couldn't or didn't notice it when I was running. Thanks.

Also what is the spark plug gap need to be set at?

I checked all the plugs yesterday and they all looked good. I cleaned them and reinstalled them. Indexed, yes. I did notice that there was a triangle shaped connector that had somehow come unhooked. It is on the driver side of the motor on the top above the spark plugs. Does anyone know what this plug is for? I will take pics tonight if that will help.

Sounds like the diagnostic cable connection for the laptop hookup! It is common for techs to forget to plug them back together.

maybe it is some water in the fuel. I guess that could be a possibility. Where is the fuel filter located and maybe I can take it off and change it out. Pics would be nice. I also thought that it might be a fuel injector?
Mine was missing last week. Brought it in and 2 injectors need to go, brining my grand total for new injectors up to 4.
Not happy.

Just got off the phone with the shop and they said it was the #6 injector. It had went bad. Should have the boat back in the middle of next week.
