Nothing against the rakers, but I think I would be looking for a trophy plus or tempest.... and save the money..........
I'll have to admit that so far, in the summer heat, out of a 28Raker2, a 28 Raker and a 27 Tempest I like the Tempest the best. I still have a couple of more props I want to try though.
Oh and KY 521 the cost should be much less than $650.00 on the R2.
X-boater comparing your old style raker to the raker2 did you run the same rpms or more or less, Ive heard less with the raker2?
Yeah I thought that was pretty high![]()
Rusty I have an 05' Triton 21X DC that came from Rodney back in late June, about the time the HEAT set in here in Alabama. First time I took it to the water was the July 4th weekend.![]()
Ky 521, I did see less rpm's with the R2 than the regular Raker. I only spent one trip with the R2 28 as it belonged to a friend of mine. The air temps, humidity and water temps were just TOO high for me to turn the 28 R2. When the cooler weather is here I should be able to go back to it.
I have a 26 R2 coming in on Friday. I'll go to the lake this weekend and give it a try and let you guy's know what it does. I was waiting till I had a chance to try all four props under similar conditions and then post some numbers and get you guy's to tell what you thought.
Post that so the members will have some info on the different props.
