I currently use xd-50 and am wanting to switch to xd-100. Do I have to run oil completely out of engine and tank before switching? Or can I just start adding xd-100?

You can just start adding the oil! I would let it rund down to 1/4 tank first if it were me.

+1 either way, the 2 oils are compatible.
