What size box are you putting them in. I have a organizer that I made to fill that issue, I had the same problem.

    Hey guys,

I made a rod box out of cutting board and golf clubs tubes like has been seen here on BBC. I also had a problem with spinning rods and a almost always carry 3-4 of them. Here is my solution......I cut a big square out of the middle of the cutting board and got rod socks from Bass Pro to fit over my spinning rods. Now they just slide in and out of the big opening and don't get tangled while my bait casters go in the golf club tubes. Pretty cheap solution too.
