    1987 383V New to me

    I've started refurbing my 1987 373V
    1. Seats removed
    2. Carpet soaked in Goo and starting to come lose
    3. Jackstand replaced
    4. Multiple replacemetns already purchased

    I'm preparing to construct a front deck extension based off other members successful pics, recarpet and install replacement seats on top of the existing seat base to best utilize the under-seat storage.

    Anyone have suggestions or tips on the;
    1. Front deck extension
    2. Carpeting
    3. Installing the new seats on the decks (I know having the original seats upholstered would be the best looking but I can't bring myself to pay that much on seats)

    It's a long process but believe me it more than worth it in the end!!!!
    I am just getting home from fishing for the first time since I also just completed the same project, and man
    all I said all day was " Hey, did I tell you I love my boat now". It is soooo nice being able to put rods out of the way.
    And now I actually have more storage than I know what to do with
    I hope you have some help cause it is a LOT of work .
    Good luck and let's see some pics

    I'll get some pics up soon; been trying to get caught up on other 'neglected' responsibilities, lol.

    I wish I had more time each day to work on my boat; dang job!

    Grab you were finally able to enjoy your efforts Scotty; I really admired your work and your pics and detailed description of your process have been helpful.
