HELP PLEASE!! EVINRUDE MOTOR PROBLEMS!!!

I have a 1988 60hp VRO Evinrude motor last year on my last trip out i ran it real low on gas,on the way back to the dock it started running really sluggish like it was running outta gas! I though it may have picked up all the trash in the bottom of the tank but this year it does the same Ive cleaned all the lines out carbs out and it still does the same thing it runs good when i put the muffs on it in the driveway but when i take it to the river it starts ok but when you put it in gear to take off it runs terrible like it is flooding out or not getting enough fuel! I would take it to the shop around here but there are two or three Business's and they ALL have VERY bad names for screwing customers!! PLEASE ANYONE have and suggestions PLEASE PLEASE!!! More than likely the inline filters need to be replaced. If you have a portable tank and it has old fuel, pour it out and fill with fresh. Have somebody pump the primer bulb as you run down the lake. More than likely the fuel pump is shot. Rebuild kits are available.

Has new gas in it and I tried to keep pumping the ball as I went!! It stayed full of gas!!Anymore suggestions? THANKS Skirb

Just had the carbs rebuilt,put them back on and itran the same idled good tried to take off and it bogged down dont want to pull the boat??????Anymore suggestions PLEASE!!!

Check the fuel pump. T in a clear piece of 3/8" ID line between the bulb and motor and look for bubbles. Sounds like the fuel pump is trashed.

Runs better on the muffs with no back pressure.
Pumping the bulb did not make it run better.
Starts and idles in the water with back pressure.
Bogs down when giving it throttle and will not get the boat up and running.

Check for spark, if OK check spark plugs, if OK check compression.

when you rebildt the carbs did you make sure your float drop was within the spec? it could easly be to much drop or to little also did you check your core plugs for trash
