    Cheap buffer

Anyone know if a buffer under 30 dollars will work for applying wax and compound? Any suggestions?

I sure hope it does, Harbor Freight has one on sale this month for $29.99 that I bought last month for $32.99. Check into it great price.

My suggestion would be to buy one thats fits your purpose. If you intend to do this frequently, I would cough up the money for a decent machine...perhaps a Porter-Cable. They are expensive $150 but perhaps worth it for you.

Get a harbor freight 7" buffer. I have used mine a ton and dropped it alot on the concrete. I got a 7" hook pad and use the 3m pads. They sell one for compounding and another one for buffing. When your done using them, get some dawn detergent and wash them out good and let dry. The 3m pads are higher but alot more durable.

My vote is for the Harbor Freight model. I've used it now for 3 years and works great. Got the digital model myself, so I can dial the speed in.

Before you go to harbor freight, check your bassmaster magazine. It has a 20 percent coupon for harbor freight good for any one item. The coupons are in every magazine. I have the same buffer and it works well.
