Anyone know if a buffer under 30 dollars will work for applying wax and compound? Any suggestions?

The harbor freight buffers work great just need to use the 3m pads![]()
My suggestion would be to buy one thats fits your purpose. If you intend to do this frequently, I would cough up the money for a decent machine...perhaps a Porter-Cable. They are expensive $150 but perhaps worth it for you.

Get a harbor freight 7" buffer. I have used mine a ton and dropped it alot on the concrete. I got a 7" hook pad and use the 3m pads. They sell one for compounding and another one for buffing. When your done using them, get some dawn detergent and wash them out good and let dry. The 3m pads are higher but alot more durable.
My vote is for the Harbor Freight model. I've used it now for 3 years and works great. Got the digital model myself, so I can dial the speed in.
cant go wrong with the harbor freight. ive had mine for 2 years, its starting to sound like its grinding stones inside but for 20 bucks ill throw it out and get a new one when it dies and not worry about it
Before you go to harbor freight, check your bassmaster magazine. It has a 20 percent coupon for harbor freight good for any one item. The coupons are in every magazine. I have the same buffer and it works well.![]()
