How to do ends of bunk board carpet?

Gonna recarpet my bunks tommorrow. Is there a certain cut or pattern that will make it easier when wrapping either end? Thanks

I recarpeted my bunks a couple months ago. When I took the carpet off the bunks I picked the one in the best condition and pulled the staples off the end and unfolded the ends and cut the carpet back couple feet and use that as a template to cut the ends on the new carpet. it worked out real good.
