Re: good deal on carpet (jameson93)

now that's cheap! with the aluminum boat and decks the rubber backing isn't a big deal to me and I like this carpet, just wonder if it'll hold up.

Thanks for the link. I might purchase some 32oz for about $160 from him depending on your review.

    Re: (Sgt)

I bought some of this carpet after I saw these posts.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBa...:1123

I got in today which was very fast because I ordered it Sunday. It says syntec on the packing slip. From what I have read syntec is Basscat carpet, how true that actually is I don't know, I read that on the internet . Its very plush and thick, for what I payed it was a heckuva a deal. I am super impressed with the quality. It should hold up real nice as thick as it is. I recarpeted a Procraft I owned years ago with 16 oz from bass pro and it didn't hold up at all, looked wore after 1 year of fishing on it.

Any more questions you guys might have I will try to answer them.

    Re: (jameson93)

The carpet I bought was described as silver quartz. The carpet is a light gray with a slight silver tint in it. Its the color I was expecting. My boat is silver/black with blue pin stripes. I think it will look good in mine. Sorry you didnt get what you was expecting, if you bought it from the same bunch on ebay as I did it says they have 14 day return policy.

    Re: (bchappell)

I don't think you'll be able to close the lids with 40 oz. I bought some 24 oz from the same guy on Ebay and that's about as heavy as I could go and get the lids closed. The heaviest carpet I've seen advertised as "Bass Boat Carpet" is 28 oz.

Put new 28 oz on mine and I'm gonna have to shave some of the carpet edge's down, not all but my live wells are really tight.
